Meet The Band

Joe Scovill - Lead Vocals

Joe Scovill (JoeSco) began his illustrious career as a backup singer to the greats. Lending tracks to the likes of Clay Aiken, Justin Guarini, Katharine McPhee and, most recently, Bo Bice, JoeSco quickly rose to fame and caught the attention of producer Rick Rubin. After several attempts at a single, Rubin produced the Beastie Boys "Fight for Your Right" and JoeSco was left looking for a band to front. This is where JoeSco, MCA (again, not of the Beastie Boys) and Joesaad founded The Smoove Series. Still searching for his first radio single, JoeSco actively steals leads from Rubin and uses them to slowly advance The Smoove Series up the charts (currently chartless).

Mike Angeli - Lead Guitar

Mike Angeli (formerly known as MCA, NOT of the Beastie Boys and recently known as Captain America, no relation to Chris Evans although his physique and good looks indicate otherwise) is one of the founding members and current lead guitarist, part-time vocalist, and part-part-time drummer/percussionist of The Smoove Series. He daylights as a Physical Education teacher/secret vigilante (possible muse for the song as well, but no such connection has been confirmed). His last known address is unknown and age is currently up for debate. His favorite beverage is free.

Kevin Dion - Keys/Guitar

Kevin "Kevin" Dion is the brother of Big Sug' and utility player of the band. He actively plays keyboards, keytars, guitars, lead and backup vocals, and women of all shapes and sizes. Brought into the band because Big Sug' felt bad and Kevin wouldn't stop whining, he quickly became an integral part in the band's sound. After spending years in Germany, claiming to have worked on his craft (we think he means beer), Kevin rejoined the United States and makes the band travel in a car since they still won't take him off the no-fly list. Kevin stole his staple earpiece/microphone look from Lance Bass and his gets his smooth dance moves from frequenting Bourbon Street as a young boy. Kevin's goals are to get a nickname as cool as his older brother's and turn The Smoove Series into a boy band/80's power ballad band.

Terry Dion - Bass

Terry "Big Sugar" Dion, also known as Two Finger Terry (convenient because he also plays bass with two fingers...) also-also known as Terrytown, is the current bassist/harmony master of The Smoove Series. Big Sug' grew up on the streets of New Orleans born to crayfish fisherman who traveled often. At a young age, Big Sug' tuned up his two fingers at Cafe du Monde, with the likes of Ben E. King and his replacement father-figure, B.B. King. Paid strictly in beignets (hence the nickname Big Sug'), Big Sug' found a way to get off the streets of New Orleans and settled in the likes of Connecticut. Although settled and with a family, Big Sug' still shows signs of his early life in The Big Easy.

Joe Saad - Drums/Percussion

Joseph Thomas Saad (referred to as Joesaad, one word) is the current drummer/percussionist and co-founder of The Smoove Series. Hidden in the back, it took years for Joesaad to get a microphone. A John Bonham wannabe, Joesaad would regularly recite stories from his "days in Zeppelin" on stage, completely derailing shows and causing ticket sales to plummet. After a short band hiatus, Joesaad realized he wasn't even born when Bonham had passed and the band slowly began to trust him again. During the hiatus, Joesaad traveled the likes of world and finding his inner chi in places like Florida, South Carolina and Massachusetts. He is now, once again, the backbeat of the band (still in the back, he isn't fully trusted) and believes he is "The Godfather"... all MCA's fault.
